Well over a million dollars in pending Beaufort-area school improvements were halted by the Beaufort County Board of Education at Thursday's meeting.
The move comes as the school district continues to examine possible school closure options and the logic was: Why spend money on something you may just mothball in a year?
Well, aside from $100,000 in penalties.
