The Charleston City Paper's Jeff Allen has a lengthy piece of praise for West Ashley's Triangle Char & Bar.
The Avondale hot spot prides itself on its quality food and rightfully so. Traingle's head chef Damian Ambs features 12 specialty burgers made from local grass-fed beef that are each individual works of art. The menu, the vibe and the locals' loyalty to this restaurant have made it Avondale's anchor.
I've unfortunately only experienced Triangle's Sunday brunch, but let me tell you, they do a solid job. The eclectic menu that ranges from chicken livers to benedicts to cuban sandwiches, the $10 bottomless mimosas and the reasonable prices made me an instant fan. Making the trip to West Ashley (for us downtowners and the like) is well worth it if you have yet to try this restaurant.
