Conway Downtown Alive has received a nearly $70,000 one-year contract from the City to handle its tourism campaign, attracting area visitors to spend the day in their quaint town.
The organization will be responsible for running the tourism center, hosting walking tours, executing the Alive After Five series of events, developing a rack card to sit among the hundreds advertising other Grand Strand tourism opportunities, and working towards a discount card for Conway merchants. Many of these things were already in motion, which makes this a good fit for the city. Why recreate the wheel?
The City of Conway is on a mission to convince Grand Strand tourists that their town is the perfect day-trip, filled with events, dining opportunities, unique stores, rich history, culture, and scenery. They're also prone to occasional yarn-bombings, which is always a sight to see.
