The trend-setting pizzeria, Mellow Mushroom Avondale, will set the standard for after-dinner treats when they reveal two signature desserts by executive pastry chef Megan Pugh on Monday, July 11th.
The two desserts are a homemade oatmeal irish cream pie and a dark chocolate cupcake with peanut butter mousse frosting that uses gluten-free ingredients.
Megan Pugh, a Johnson & Wales University graduate, brings over six years of professional-level pastry chef experience to Mellow Mushroom Avondale. Before becoming the pastry chef at Mellow Mushroom Avondale, Megan honed her skills in restaurants such as Peninsula Grill, Charleston Place Hotel, and M5 Modern Mediterranean in Charlotte, NC. She is also a member of the Eta Sigma Delta Hospitality Honor Society.
