Investigation Discovery Channel aired a 60 minute episode of "Twisted" this past Monday, October 1st, which revisited the life and crimes of one of South Carolina's most notorious serial killers, Donald “Pee Wee” Gaskins.
The series takes an in-depth look at some of the world’s most prolific serial killers and interviews those who were closest to them before learning about their secret, dark lives. Attempting to uncover the psychology of Gaskins, interviews were conducted with his daughters and investigators.
Here's a description of "Twisted" from the Investigation Discovery website:
Pee Wee Gaskins, became South Carolina's biggest mass murderer when police discovered his boasts of his "own private graveyard" were real. He claimed more than 100 kills and didn't stop once imprisoned. Was Pee Wee influenced, or born to kill?
Gaskin's murderous ways swept through Florence, Sumter, Prospect, and right here in Myrtle Beach. The only coastal South Carolina victim Gaskins could name was Anne Colberson, a 16-year-old girl he picked up in 1971 near Myrtle Beach.
You may have missed the episode featuring Gaskins but thanks to YouTube you can watch the episode in full below. South Carolina ETV also has a special on Gaskins in their Carolina Stories series.
