Ads promoting spring travel to the Myrtle Beach area kick off in Ohio

The first wave of ads aiming to lure travelers to the Grand Strand this spring will be hitting Ohio starting next week.

The TV and digital ads touting air service to Ohio and spring deals will appear in Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland starting Monday, kicking off an estimated $3 million campaign aiming to boost business this spring.

The campaign is targeting Ohio first because of additional air service to that key market this spring. Allegiant Air is starting some its seasonal flights earlier than usual this year, with Columbus, Ohio starting April 9 and Cincinnati starting April 10. And Spirit Airlines will start new service to Cleveland on April 16.
