Seventy antiques from Charleston are heading to New York to be on display during the 57th Winter Antiques Show in New York City.
The featured antiques to be displayed will highlight the craftsmen ship of the 18th to the early 19th centuries and come from a handful of Lowcountry historical hotbeds. Some hail from the Historic Charleston Foundation's collection as well as from Middleton Place Foundation, Drayton Hall, the Charleston Museum and the Gibbes Museum of Art.
The Charleston exhibition will last only 10 days at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City, but The Post and Courier reports that a few of the items also will be featured at the Charleston International Antiques Show, March 18-20 in Charleston.
